It's based on my Artist's Statement really. I want to develop a full one-person's show worth of work that illustrates and celebrates the connections between Art, Science, Nature, Mathematics, and People. Of that list of things some are more valued by our culture than others, and my hope is by relating art and nature to science, math, and people, ... see still working on it. The idea is roughly educational outreach, awareness raising, helping people see the connections being seemingly unrelated things and encouraging a personal investment in those things.
(sort of saying... "it *does* have something to do with you, directly and meaningfully, so maybe you should care about it just a little")
I'd like the work to be presented with poster sized signs containing information about the math and science behind the patterns in art and nature, complete with drawings, photos, etc. I am also thinking of contacting the author of The Beginner's Guide to Constructing the Universe for permission to quote or otherwise use some of his brilliant explanations since he is a primary influence of this idea.
